About Old Timer Log Homes

Old Timer Log Homes was started in 1978 by Paul Gentry. In its humble beginnings, Old Timer Log Homes operated from the basement of Gentry's parents' home in Mt. Juliet, TN. The first log was pushed through the small one-man mill, also located on his parent's property, near midnight December 31, 1978. At this time, Gentry's focus was on manufacturing logs and building homes locally.

For several years Old Timer Log Homes produced two styles of logs. In 1984 it was evident that log home buyers wanted a larger selection. Since then Old Timer Log Homes has introduced a variety of log styles. Today, Old Timer Log Homes manufactures over thirty different styles of kiln dried logs from which to choose. This makes Old Timer Log Homes one of, if not the most diversified manufacturer in the industry.

Old Timer Log Homes operates five fully automated mills, some designed by Gentry himself. This gives us tremendous flexibility in our manufacturing. Each day hundreds of feet of lumber pass through the mill and are placed into our kilns, which ensures quality by drawing moisture from the wood. Our trained and certified mill workers mill each log with the care and craftsmanship our customers expect.

As a leader in the log home industry, Old Timer Log Homes has a network of dealers and has shipped hundreds of log home packages over the years. We are proud of our network of dealers and it is safe to say that an Old Timer log home stands in nearly every state across the country.

Old Timer Log Homes has grown from an operation of one to employing more than forty people. A knowledgeable and experienced staff is here to help you every step of the way. We are committed to providing you with a quality product at a fair price and superior customer service. Our primary goal is a satisfied, happy homeowner.

But, perhaps the best reason to choose Old Timer Log Homes as your log home manufacturer is that our company was built on Christian principles. Our commitment to honesty, strong work ethic, and integrity at Old Timer Log Homes continues today.
