The Construction Process
Old Timer Log Homes are systems-built packages. This means that they are engineered to be assembled by a predetermined method that will ensure structural stability and integrity. Whether it is a complete dry-in, assembly of log walls, or a do-it-yourself project; Old Timer Log Homes are remarkably easy to assemble. A complete and informative construction manual is provided with each package. Our professional and knowledgeable staff will also be available to answer any construction questions that you may have. Old Timer Log Homes intention is to see that your dream home is everything it should be.
Our network of nationwide representatives can arrange for an experienced construction crew to assemble your home. If it is a total dry-in (weather-tight shell) you are in need of, a crew will construct the floor system on your existing foundation and construct your home up to the felt on the roof. They will finish the dry-in by installing interior stud walls, windows, and exterior doors. Log wall assembly is available for those who want an experienced crew to
erect the log walls, but are not interested in a complete dry-in. For the do-it-yourselfer and those that want the hands-on experience of building their own log home from start to finish, Old Timer Log Homes provides detailed blueprints along with a step-by-step construction manual.
